When diving a single tank, our Gusset Control System streamlines the wing, keeping it close to the body. This avoids the “taco” effect of the wing wrapping around the tank, away from the diver, which diminishes buoyancy control. Available in single or dual bladder, the Rec Series has 45 pounds (20.4 kg) of lift and can accommodate two 85 cubic foot (12 L) backmounted cylinders.

A lightweight wing designed for single-tank, warm water diving, our Travel series of wings are small-profile and ideal for travel and divers who wear a minimal amount of weight. At 25 pounds (11.3 kg) of lift, the Travel wing can accommodate one 80 cubic foot (12 L) tank with no more than 16 pounds of additional weight.

With its’ donut-shape, the Travel wing provides greater stability and control in the water. Donut-style or 360 degree wings promote an even volume of inflation on top, sides, and bottom, which improves buoyancy control and promotes a more efficient, horizontal trim.

Designed solely for double tanks and with the option of a single or dual bladder, the Classic XT provides 60 pounds (27.2 kg) of lift, which can accommodate two 104 cubic foot (17 L) backmounted cylinders and two 80 cubic foot (11 L) stage bottles.

Supporting heavy doubles and stage bottles is one thing, but being able to properly balance and stabilize that amount of heavy gear for proper trim while swimming is where the Classic XT really shines. The donut-shape design provides excellent stability and control while diving by keeping a volume of inflation on the top, sides, and bottom. This, along with an optional integrated Gusset Control System (GCS) that reduces “taco” effect, promotes effective streamlining and puts buoyancy where it is most needed (throughout the torso supporting the weight of the tanks) for superior horizontal trim. The GCS is not like a bungee wing because it does not restrict airflow; instead, the GCS promotes added streamlining and buoyancy control, yet allows the wing to inflate to its’ full capacity.

The Classic XT comes equipped with a choice of a 12- or 16-inch elbow or a 16-inch rapid exhaust (pull dump) along with an appropriate low-pressure inflation hose. It also has two sets of marine-grade 316 stainless steel grommet mounting holes for attaching the wing to a harness and set of tanks.

The stainless steel assembly screws are used for attaching various accessories to a TransPac harness or to a hard backplate (such as lift bag pouches, suit inflation mounting systems and sidemount buttplates). They can also be used to attach an aircell to your TransPac (caution: may scratch tank paint). Designed to fit through a 3/8” hole, the Stainless Steel Assembly Screws include O-rings that create friction to help keep the screw in place. Sold as a set of two.

All Dive Rite backplates are laser cut and individually finished by hand.

This attention to detail ensures that there will be no rough, jagged edges that could potentially damage harness or accessory webbing. The XT backplate uses an 11 gauge, low carbon and rust resistant 316 L grade stainless steel. Weighing in at 6.5 pounds (2.9 kg), stainless steel plates are a popular option for divers looking for a more even distribution of ballast weight.

The Backplate Comfort Pad's high-tech design consists of molded foam contoured in all the right places to prevent uncomfortable pokes and prods when wearing a metal backplate. Mesh airflow channels provide instant draining topside and resist compression allowing the pad to maintain its thickness and comfort at depth. Using hook-and-loop straps to secure to the shoulders of a harness, the Backplate Comfort Pad can be easily added or removed without the need to disassemble the harness. It will fit any standard backplate or harness.

Keep your gear within reach.

When sidemounting stage tanks or bailout bottles, standard buttplate rails can be difficult to reach. We solved this problem with our Tech Buttplate. The rectangular shape with rails placed on the outer edges makes gear easy to access, even in a backmount rebreather or large doubles. The Tech Buttplate can be mounted to a harness by using either the two 2-inch webbing loops or using the two included stainless steel assembly screws.

Used for fastening a harness and backplate securely to a diver’s body, the 2-inch crotch strap is used to reduce the likelihood of gear slipping upwards on the body in the water. A continuous piece of nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won’t dig into the body. Includes a neoprene sleeve to protect exposure suit from abrasion.

A webbing harness designed for hard backplates that provides comfort alongside streamlining. Swivel points on the shoulder straps ensure a perfect fit, which is especially important for women, as well as men with broad shoulders. A chest strap holds the harness securely in place. Two-inch (50mm) nylon webbing provides strength, yet is soft and won’t dig into the body. Harness is adjustable by cutting off excess webbing once diver has sized the harness to his or her body. Standard two-inch webbing allows for customization with a wide variety of pockets and accessories, depending on the needs and desires of the individual diver. Includes marine-grade stainless steel hardware.

Keep It Simple, Do It Right.

Appealing to the minimalist diver, this Hogarthian kit includes everything needed to properly setup a streamlined stage or deco bottle.

The strap consists of braided nylon line with a black rubber fuel hose cover for abrasion protection. At each end of the strap, a medium bolt snap is used for clipping the tank off to the diver’s harness. A stainless steel “speed” clamp sheathed in tubular nylon webbing secures the bottom of the strap to the tank. A premium Dive Rite EPDM hose retainer is included to keep hoses managed while not in use.

The TransPac XT is Dive Rite’s flagship harness, originally designed by CEO Lamar Hires for his early expeditions to the remote karst regions of Japan.
